Bawumia Arrested The Whirlwind Not The Cedi - NDC Communicator

Maame Tekyiwa Arkoh, the National Democratic Congress (NDC) communicator popularly known in the political landscape as Maame Nagode, has blamed the New Patriotic Party's (NPP) flagbearer, Dr. Alhaji Mahamudu Bawumia, for imposing hardship on Ghanaians.

According to Maame Nagode, instead of Bawumia arresting the cedi, he arrested the whirlwind retiring the economic growth.

"Dr. Bawumia didn't arrest the cedi; neither did he arrest the economy and as a result of lip-service has imposed hardship on the suffering Ghanaians amid other taxes," she bemoaned.

Maame Tekyiwa noted that most promises as campaign messages for the ruling New Patroitic Party including Planning for Food and Jobs has completely failed.

The Vice President, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, in an account of the first 100 days in office of the NPP government, indicated that they have been able to “arrest” the fall of the cedi and has made some 103 achievements.

Humorously whilst delivering a 40-minute presentation, at a town hall meeting organized by Joy FM to assess the 100 days of President Akufo-Addo in office, the Vice President said the free fall of the cedi has been arrested, and the keys given to the Inspector General of Police (IGP) for safekeeping.

"When we came in, it [cedi] was running, essentially we have arrested it [cedi], and the IGP has the keys, he’s locked it up, we want to make sure we pursue sound policies to keep the cedi stable, it has appreciated for this year.“

“Inflation has come down from 15.4 per cent when we came into office to 12.8 per cent now and we’ve restored confidence in the macro economy by anchoring fiscal policy on credibility, clarity and transparency,” the Vice President who is also head of the government’s economic management team said.

Maame Tekyiwa Arkoh further called on the electorates to massively vote for Mr John Dramani Mahama (JDM) following the December 7 general elections for a better Ghana, adding that, NPP has no campaign message for Ghanaians.
