Mfantseman NPP voted - Mfantseman Krakye Concedes Defeat


Mr James Korsah-Brown has conceded defeat in the New Patriotic Party's internal election to select a parliamentary candidate for the 2024 general election.

The incumbent Member of Parliament (MP), Hon. Ophelia Mensah Hayford declared the winner in the contest according to results announced by the Electoral Commission (EC) at Saltpond-Victorial Park on Saturday, January 27, 2024.

In his concession post shared on his Facebook wall, Mfantseman Krakye noted; 

"Guys, Mfantseman NPP voted, I lost.

Thanks a lot to all who supported the journey, my wonderful team, God bless you guys.

I thank God for successfully taking me through this journey, I am overwhelmed by God's mercy.

Still, The Mfantseman Krakye.

After the coalition, Hon. Ophelia Mensah Hayford polled 825 votes, Mr James Korsah-Brown secured 232 votes and Mr Gabriel Amuah also trailed with 60 votes.

The total number of valid votes was 1,117 however, 1,120 votes were in the box (A+B) and 3 votes were rejected.
